Ho chiamato solo per dirti che ti amo brings together photographs made over a decade across Italy, Europe and the United States, conceived as an open sequence in which the images interact according to a principle of emotional affinity.

The title is the Italian translation of the ballad I Just Called to Say I Love You (1984) by Stevie Wonder, in which a lover sings that there is never a wrong moment to express one’s feelings of love. From this intimate dimension unfolds a narrative where personal memory and the collective sphere intertwine, through different ways of relating to nature, landscape, domestic and urban spaces, as well as technology.

The book includes a conversation with Saul Marcadent and an essay by Giovanna Manzotti.
